J.B. Carmicle's Web Logs

Contributing to the success of academic student achievement is paramount in preparing today’s students to be college and career ready in the twenty-first century.  A teacher must earn the trust and respect of all students by becoming a force in their lives through positive motivation, consistent determination and purposeful dedication.  A teacher must demonstrate that living principled lives and setting measurable and meaningful goals assures that students will be able to meet all future challenges, even in the face of adversities and setbacks.  Through bonding and the very best teaching practices, a teacher may inspire those who seek to learn so they can achieve their potential and pave their path toward academic excellence and personal satisfaction in their own lives.  These are tenets of what our education goals should be—we must reward students for what they do well and always encourage them to contribute in a meaningful and dedicated way to their community and their world with honor, with hope and with purpose.  This is the path that must be followed if we are to achieve the benchmark and hallmark of excellence in teaching; we must be able to proclaim “I touch the future, I teach.”
